Beginning in 2024, the Ueberroth Family Foundation transitioned to one annual grant cycle. We also moved to a fully electronic application process to streamline submissions. The annual grant cycle now adheres to the following date:
The Ueberroth Family Foundation provides grants to nonprofit charitable organizations working to enhance the quality of life in their communities. Funding will be directed toward programs that align with the foundation’s philosophy, as determined by our Directors.
Most of our funding focuses on Orange County or regions where our Directors reside. This localized approach allows us to strategically invest in nonprofit agencies, leaders, and programs that make a meaningful impact.
The Ueberroth Family Foundation requires a Letter of Inquiry for any organization that hasn’t received funding in the last year.
All letters of inquiry should be no more than 2 pages and should include:
Letters of Inquiry should be emailed to info@ueberroth.org
Due to volume, only those organizations being invited to submit a full proposal will receive a response and move on to the full grant process.
If your organization has been invited to submit a full proposal or has received funding in the last year, email your Grant Proposal to info@ueberroth.org
Use the following subject line:
“[Year] [Organization Name] Grant Proposal.”
- Agency name & address
- contact name, email & phone number
- project summary
- Grant amount requested
- Other sources of funding – committed & pending
Every organization awarded a grant from the Ueberroth Family Foundation is expected to provide an update on the progress and impact of the funded organization or program. A formal report is not required nor encouraged. The foundation values opportunities to build relationships with its grantees, so updates are preferred through a phone call or in-person meeting. A personal email would also be accepted.
Grant applications must be submitted by March 1.
Please note that the Ueberroth Family Foundation does not provide funding for individual scholarships, religious institutions, debt retirement, budget deficits or event sponsorships. However, we will consider proposals for core operating support and capital campaigns.
